Itinerary

Day 1: Bolzano-Carezza-Pordoi-Funes Valley

Travel through the Great Dolomites Road built in 1894, connecting Bolzano to Cortina. Stop at Carezza Lake for short walk and photos. Continue through Val Di Fassa and the village of Canazei and arrive under the imposing peaks of the Sella Group. After driving through the 27 hairpins, arrive at Pordoi Pass (7359 ft.). From the Pordoi Pass we return back a few kilometers to reach the Sella Pass. From the Sella Pass we can admire the Marmolada glacier (3,343 m) and the majestic Sassolungo (3,181 m). Continue our tour onto Gardena Valley, and reach in its main town, the beautiful Ortisei for a walking tour. Continue the tour to the fairy tale Funes Valley and its main landmark the Odle/Geisler Dolomite Massif: Visit to the two churches with the background of the Odle Mountains, world famous landscape. Return to Ortisei.

Day 2: Ortisei-Val Badia-Cortina

Enjoy some free time in Ortisei. Continue to Val Badia, and stop to visit the Museum of the Ladin people located in a XIII century castle, to learn about the history and customs of South Tyrol third ethnic minority. Stop at a traditional and historical Viles – Farmhouse where you’ll enjoy a hearty home made meal. Driving through this awe-inspiring valley and its majestic Dolomites, we’ll reach Cortina, the “Pearl of the Dolomites”. Overnight.

Day 3: Misurina- Three Peaks- Alpine Lakes

Morning departure to Misurina Lake with the incredible view of the Three Peaks of Lavaredo. Stop for photo. Continue by car to the Auronzo Refuge, the starting point of your circular trek around the Three Peaks-Drei Zinnen. The circular trek will take to the Lavaredo and Locatelli refuge and give you the chance to spend and unforgettable day on this beautiful mountain range. After the trek, continue to Lake Dobbiaco, and last not least, Lake Braies with its incomparable views and turquoise calm waters. Free time and return to Bolzano.
