Mein Mann und ich haben im Juli einen Kochkurs besucht. Es hat uns großen Spaß gemacht. Claudia hat den Kochkurs wunderbar organisiert und uns bei unserer Unterkunft abgeholt und mit vielen interessanten Informationen rund um Südtirol beeindruckt. Gemeinsam mit Mali haben wir dann leckere Gerichte aus der Südtiroler Küche zubereitet. Mali hat uns mit ihrer positiven Art angesteckt und motiviert. Ihre Begeisterungsfähigkeit für regionale Zutaten, die Natur und das Kochen hat uns sehr beeindruckt und zum Nachdenken angeregt. Die Zeit bei Mali verging wie im Flug und hat uns großen Spaß gemacht. Die einmalige Kulisse (umrahmt von den beeindruckenden Dolomiten) haben dieses Erlebnis gekonnt abgerundet. Cooking with Mali with translation and history by Martin was one of the highlights of our trip to South Tyrol. Mali (whose family has lived in the same place since around 1750) was warm, funny, hospitable, and a talented chef as well as a good teacher. She demonstrated and we took turns practicing our skill. Martin provided lots of background and local history. A yummy lunch prepared by us was served afterward with ample wine. Thanks to Claudia for planning a day we will never forget.

The farmhouse cooking class was one of the highlights of a very enjoyable trip to the Dolomites. The time spent with Mail and her family was truly an insight into the region, it’s cooking, and it’s traditions.
