Itinerary

Meet your guide and wine expert under the Statue of Walther von der Vogelweide and start your 1.5 tour of Bolzano with focus on its wine traditon and history as a wine town, that goes back before the Roman times. Learn about the indigenous grapes, Lagrein and Santa Maddalena, which vinyards are grown around the city and extend until the historical center.

You wine expert will explain the different wine varieties and techniques that makes each Alto Adige wine different, and guide you through two different wine tastings. You will have the chance to taste two Italian wines and two South Tyrolean wines with local tapas.

Learn about the history and tradition of Bolzano as a wine town, the cradle of the Lagrein and Santa Maddalena indigenous grapes. Walking around the historical center your wine expert will tell you stories related to the wine trade and how monasteries played and important role in the wine growing tradition.

At the end of your tastings, you will have the opportunity to purchase your favorite wines, then you can continue the night in the heart of central Bolzano, close to bars, restaurants and sights.
